why we love doctor who

Recently I just finished watching the end of the second series of Doctor Who where the Tenth Doctor had to leave Rose. Anyways, my question is, HOW DO I GET OVER HIS DEPARTURE? I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY MIND AND IT'S LIKE OH MY GOSH. I don't know how I'm going to live with myself knowing that the Tenth Doctor will never say "I love you" to Rose... How will I get over this? *No spoilers. I'm only beginning season 3 of Doctor Who. |:

*sobbing* there’s no getting over it, it will hurt and torment your soul forever! True story. No but the best advise I can give you is crycrycry, cry your eyes out, allow yourself to be unconsolable and it all hurts awfully much but in the end it’s worth the pain! Oh it is! It’s such a great show. Russell/Moffat, we hate you and we love you ;) and it does get a little bit easier over time, promise. AND, no spoilers but.. some of the best/worse is yet to come, so keep watching!

So where are you guys???? Don't wanna sound rude or anything, I know it must be hard running this blog, but have you guys been watching the new season? I wanna hear your reactions!

Omg, I know - I’m so sorry! It’s just been me for a while now which has made it a lot harder to keep the blog going and since the hiatus was over and the show started airing again my life was reeeally hectic! I’ve had soo much on my mind 24/7! I hereby pledge to post at least 4 reasons 2night regarding the new series and to really make an effort to get back on track!

pond life is a mini-series that aired online before the seventh series premiered. They were released over 5 days and was meant to show some glimpses of Amy and Rory’s everyday life in relation to be traveling with the Doctor, resulting in some unusual house guests and etc ;) You can find them on the official Doctor Who website, if they’re still available !

Haha! The “because.. lettuce” is because of the complete lack of explanation as to why the doctor is holding lettuce. We love it because it’s random ;)

When does Doctor Who get interesting? I get that pilot episodes are rough, but I'm watching "Rose" and it feels like a show for six year olds. I want to give the show a chance because everyone here on tumblr loves it to death. (FYI I don't mean to disrespect the fandom or show....just asking....)

haha! gosh, I was just like you ;) my advise, keep going and all of a sudden you won’t know what hit you! The change of heart happens sometime during the first series, I’d say. Episode 9, “empty child” was and still is a favourite of mine, for example but yeah, I was hooked after only 2-3 episodes. give it a chance and hopefully you’ll grow to love it!

I just noticed this and had it to share it somewhere. Did anyone else notice that in the doctor who episode with Richard Wilson, the hospital is called "Albion Hospital". Albion!!!! Like on Merlin, which Richard Wilson plays on as Gaius! Sorry, someone else has probably noticed this, just had to tell someone!

I haven't watched over season 4... but from what i seen on tumblr and how "Amy is the girl who waited" and all that i just thought Rose Tyler the girl who did not know of the word impossible she did not seat back and waited for the doctor to go to the the other universe to pick her oh no she went to him. she jumped through freaking walls of the universe to see him. Im sorry i just feel like they are giving Amy to much credit but i havent watched the season so i should just shut up...but fuck it.

Haha! No, I get what you’re saying - and you’re right, Rose did some truly amazing things in order to get back to her doctor. (<3) But you have to keep in mind that Rose is a grown woman who has been traveling with the doctor for a while, and when Amy first meets the doctor she’s just a little girl. And she’s left behind and even though she doesn’t know why she still waits for him. And that’s very sweet and admirable. She keeps waiting for her imaginary friend to come back. And, therefore, you can’t really compare the two - Amy couldn’t possibly have run after the Doctor, all she could do was to wait and believe in him.
